Considering how often Banda MS put out new albums, it might be surprising to learn that they’ve started doing concerts in 2010. The early live performance work were major events that were only done 3 times from 2010-2016. And while these performances did create some of Banda MS’s most loyal fans, it could be argued that the release of 2016’s Que bendición was the pivotal launch of the band, especially in the United States.
And speaking of that 2016 concert, it was held in the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City as part of Banda MS’ Tour Qué Bendición on July 1. And nearly one year later, Banda MS visited Duluth’s Gas South Arena on July 7, 2017 for a concert visit, the first US concert of the year. And certainly not the last. That honor goes to the band’s appearance in West Des Moines’ Val Air Ballroom on November 19, 2017.
Since then, the band has consistently performed between 16-38 concerts per year from 2017-2021, excluding 2020 where the Global Pandemic forced the band to limit their performances to 4 live concerts. But the band bounced back and performed 30 concerts in 2021 and have had and scheduled 43 concerts for 2022.
The band most often performs in Mexico and the United States with several legendary performances under their belt. And with their appearance on US Billboard Latin Album charts, it’s quite easy to imagine that they will continue to remain phenoms in both Mexico and the US.
